The Nissan NV200 is a van manufactured by the Japanese company Nissan since 2009. It is available in two body types: van and combi, which can be either with four or five doors. The kombi can be ordered with either five or seven seats.
The NV200 was honored as the 2010 International Van of the Year due to its competitive price and roomy body. In Europe, the NV200, along with the similar Nissan Evalia compact van, is assembled in Barcelona, Spain, at the Nissan Motor Iberica plant. The NV200 Vanette is produced at Nissan's Shatai plant. In the Asian market, the NV200 is also known as the Mitsubishi Delica D:3.
There are four modifications of the NV200:
Nissan NV200 Specifications:
The diesel version is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged dCi engine, from Renault. This unit is available in two versions: 90 and 110 hp, providing a maximum torque of 200 and 240 Nm respectively.
The advantages of this mechanical system are tangible: acceleration to 100 kilometers per hour takes 14 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited at 120 kilometers per hour.
There are two transmissions available in the NV200 range. The diesel 1.5 dCi uses a manual gearbox with 5 gears that the driver can shift manually, while traction is transmitted exclusively to the front wheels, all-wheel drive is not available.
An electric modification, callede-NV200, is equipped with an 80 kW (107 hp) synchronous engine powered by a 24 kWh battery. Its range on a single charge reaches approximately 150 kilometers. Although the lithium-ion battery had an identical number of modules (48) and capacity (24 kWh) as the Nissan Leaf, its physical placement was modified to fit under the trunk floor and in the wheelbase, contributing to increased body rigidity compared to the traditional NV200.
The 24 kWh battery used in the model until 2017 allowed up to 170 km of electric power on the New European Duty Cycle (NEDC). The standard charger provides a maximum output of 3.3 kW (AC) and can be increased to 6.6 kW with an optional device adding a CHAdeMO port that allows charging up to 50 kW (DC).
In 2018, the battery capacity has been increased by 67% to 40 kVh, increasing the range to 300 kilometers on the Japanese cycle (JC08).
