Nissan Juke: Decoding the Price Spectrum from New to Used Models

Nissan Juke is a compact crossover produced by the Japanese brand since 2010. The model made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show as a refreshing market alternative to uninteresting traditional models in the small car segment.

The Nissan Juke has several generations:

  • First Generation, (2010-2019). This new compact crossover was produced at two Nissan plants: in Sunderland, UK, and Oppama, Japan. The vehicle can be equipped with the latest All-Mode4x4-I all-wheel drive system. This system is capable of distributing torque between the axles, with no more than half of the total torque falling to the rear wheels, depending on conditions. The front suspension is made according to the scheme MacPherson, and the rear is installed torsion beam. The base engines of the first generation Nissan Juke were 16-valve 1.6 liters, developing 117 hp (157 Nm) and diesel 1.5 dCi developing 110 hp (240 Nm). The most powerful version was the Nissan Juke with a 1.6L turbocharged engine developing 190 hp (240 Nm).
  • Second Generation (as of 2019). The world premiere of the second generation Nissan Juke took place in September 2019. The car attracts attention with increased dimensions, attractive 19-inch alloy wheels and coupe style. Changes have also touched the interior of the car - compared to its predecessor, the novelty received a more spacious interior and a roomy trunk. At the time of debut, the new Nissan Juke received a 1-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged DIG-T gasoline engine with an output of 117 hp, providing improved performance, better fuel efficiency compared to the same powertrain used in the first-generation model. The model can be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) with paddles and selector for driving modes (Eco, Standard, Sport).

Nissan Juke Modifications:

  • Nissan Juke Nismo. Nissan Juke Nismo appeared at the international motor show in Paris in 2012. Under the hood of the car is located 1.6-liter DiG-T engine, which develops a power of 200 hp. The model also received new settings for the suspension and control system. Spring stiffness in front-wheel drive versions has been increased by 10%, and in all-wheel drive versions - by 15%.
  • Nissan Juke-R. This car is built on the platform and using powertrains from the Nissan GT-R. It is equipped with suspension, a 3.8-liter VR38DETT Twin-Turbo V6 six-cylinder turbo engine with 485 hp, as well as exhaust and braking systems. The transmission is a six-speed robotically controlled dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to this, the Juke-R is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and its top speed is 257 km/h.
  • Juke Nismo RS.. The Nismo RS model received a revised exhaust system and steering system, improved springs and shock absorbers, as well as reinforced mountings of the lower arms of the front suspension. Brakes became more powerful: the diameter of front discs was increased from 296 to 320 millimeters, rear discs are now ventilated. Four-cylinder turbocharged engine 1.6 DiG-T thanks to improved electronics and exhaust system develops 218 hp.
