Mini is a British car created by the British Motor Corporation in 1958 by Alec Issigonis. The project was a response to the fuel crisis of 1956, which demanded an economical car. The first Mini appeared in 1959 and immediately gained popularity due to its compact size and excellent handling. In 1961, the Mini Cooper sports model appeared, which brought many victories in motorsport. In 1994, the brand became part of the BMW concern, which continued to produce cars under this brand, retaining a unique style and spirit.
Mini cars are offered in body types: hatchback, convertible, station wagon, crossover and coupe. Dimensions vary by model and generation. For example, the third-generation Mini Cooper measures 3821-3850 mm in length, 1727 mm in width and 1414 mm in height. Engine options include petrol and diesel engines, with displacements ranging from 1.2 to 2.0 litres. Engine power ranges from 75 to 231 hp, acceleration to 100 km/h takes between 6.3 and 10.5 seconds, and top speed ranges from 191 to 250 km/h. Transmission types include manual and automatic, depending on the model and equipment. For example, 6-speed manual and 6 or 8-speed automatic transmissions are available in the Mini range.
