It has an elegant and sophisticated design that emphasizes its status. The car provides a smooth ride and excellent handling, making every trip unforgettable.

  • Second generation W126 (1979-1991). At different times, there were 9 engines under the hood of the car, with power from 134 to 295 hp. Mercedes 560 SE sedan with the flagship "eight" 5.6 could accelerate to 100 km in 6.9 seconds at a maximum speed of 250 km / h.
  • Third generation W140 (1991-1998). It was the first to receive a V12 unit. The 6-liter engine produced first 400 hp and 580 N-m, and later - 394 hp. In addition to this unit in the S-Class there were 6 more gasoline and diesel engines with power from 148 to 320 hp.
  • Fourth generation W220 (1998-2005) differed from its predecessors in elegance. During seven years, 14 engines were put on the car, including a 500-horsepower biturbo V12 engine (S 600) and its 612-horsepower version from the AMG studio (S 65 AMG).
  • Fifth generation W221 (2005-2013) includes the most modern and diverse safety and comfort systems for which Mercedes-Benz remains the world leader. The model range includes the diesel units S320 CDI and S420 CDI, as well as the gasoline S300 and S350 with V6, as well as the S450 and S500 with V8 and S600 with V12.
  • Sixth generation W222 (2013-2020) is available in sedan (in 3 lengths), coupe (replacing the CL-Class C216 coupe), convertible, Maybach and S600 Pullman body styles. The new Mercedes is powered by a six-liter turbocharged V12 engine. This unit combines the power of 530 horses. The transmission is represented by a 7-speed automatic gearbox, which works in tandem with a rear-wheel drive system.
  • Seventh generation W223 (from 2020) has been supplemented for the first time with E-Active Body Control active hydropneumatic suspension, which operates from the 48-volt on-board power grid. There are also front airbags for 2nd row passengers sewn into the backrests of the front seats.
