Mercedes-Benz GLK: Decoding the Price Range of a Classic Compact Luxury SUV

Mercedes-Benz GLK -a compact luxury SUV that was produced from 2008 to 2015. GLK was positioned as a compact SUV, but its dimensions were comparable to more modern mid-size crossovers. It featured an angular and brutal design that appealed to many. All GLKs were equipped with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, which provided excellent on- and off-road capability. The GLK received high safety ratings from Euro NCAP.

The auto was available in several configurations:

• Avantgarde included alloy wheels, air conditioning, audio system, power windows and mirrors, and airbags.
• Edition 1, a limited edition introduced in 2008, added a panoramic roof, roof rails, sport suspension and 19-inch alloy wheels to the Avantgarde.
• Elegance focused on comfort, and included leather upholstery, wood trim, and comfort seats.

In addition to these packages, GLK buyers could order a host of optional extras such as a panoramic sunroof, seat ventilation, adaptive cruise control and the COMAND entertainment system.

In 2012, the updated Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class was introduced. The updated model has changed equipment, appearance and improved powertrains.

Production of the GLK was discontinued in 2015, and it was replaced by the GLC model. Nevertheless, the GLK remains a popular choice on the aftermarket, thanks to its reliability, practicality and stylish design.
