Hyundai Elantra is a mid-size passenger car produced by the Korean concern since 1991. In some markets it was sold under the names Lantra and Avante. The car has received awards more than once:
The Hyundai Elantra is several generations old:
First generation,J1 (1990-1995). Created as an alternative to budget Japanese cars. It was produced in a sedan body and equipped with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. Hyundai Elantra 1 generation had a wide choice of gasoline engines: 1.5L (86 hp), 1.6L (114 hp), 1.8L (126 hp).
Second Generation,J2 (1995-1998),J3 (1998-2000). The design is made in a rounded style, without sharp corners. The body has double-sided galvanization. It was produced in sedan and station wagon (Lantra Station). The car was equipped with the following engines:
