Ford Puma: Comprehensive Price Analysis of Ford's Stylish Crossover

Ford Puma is a model of the American manufacturer, which has several generations that strongly have nothing in common.

First generation (1997-2002) is a two-door coupe with a targa roof, front-wheel drive, and manual or automatic transmission. It was based on the Ford Fiesta IV model. Gasoline powertrains of 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7 liters with power from 90 to 125 hp were available on the car. For the first time Ford used in the engine a variable-phase timing mechanism, created jointly with INA Motorenele-mente Schaeffler KG.

The designers paid special attention to the stability of the Puma on wet pavement at maximum speed. The trunk volume was 240 liters, and with folded rear seats - 750 liters. For an additional fee it was possible to add to the base: anti-lock braking system, front airbags, air conditioning and so on.

Second generation (from 2019) is a five-door crossover with front-wheel drive, which has gained popularity due to its stylish design, practicality and technical characteristics. The model is positioned as a car for active urban life, combining comfort, maneuverability and roominess. Ford Puma 2 generation is characterized by a bright and memorable appearance. Sporty body lines, large wheel arches and modern lighting equipment give the car a dynamic look.

Despite its compact dimensions, the Puma has a spacious interior and a roomy trunk. The shape of the luggage compartment allows you to transport large-sized items, and the presence of an underfloor compartment adds additional convenience. The model is equipped with various safety and driver assistance systems - adaptive cruise control, lane keeping system, automatic braking system.

One of the top powertrains - EcoBoost Hybrid 1.0 liter has appeared on the Ford Puma 2 generation, and in 2 variants - at 125 and 155 hp. The crossover is presented in 4 configurations:

  • Titanium;
  • Lux;
  • ST-Line;
  • ST-Line Plus.

Transmission is automatic or manual. Since this generation is based on Ford Fiesta, the front wheels are driving, but traction control system and engine response algorithm can be adjusted manually for different surfaces.
