The Ford Galaxy has several generations:

  • 1 generation, WGR (1995-2006). The first generation of Galaxy was presented in 1995. The car was characterized by original design and spacious interior. Manual and automatic transmissions, front-wheel drive were offered. At first, the following power units were installed - 2.8-liter gasoline VR6 from the top version of Volkswagen Golf, and 1.9-liter Turbocharged Direct Injection. A year later, the cars were also equipped with a 2.3-liter 16-valve engine. At first, Aspen, Ghia and GLX were available. Since 1999, Ford launched a new line of configurations - LX and Zetec, which replaced Aspen and GLX, respectively. In 2000, the car received a facelift.
  • Generation 2, WA6 (2006-2015). The car received a new design, improved performance and a wider choice of engines. Buyers were available in 3 configurations - Trend, Ghia and Titanium. Among the power units were diesel from 1.6 to 2.2 liters with up to 147 hp, as well as gasoline from 1.6 to 2.3 liters with up to 203 hp. In 2010, the Ford Galaxy received a restyling.
  • Generation 3 (2015-2023). The third generation Galaxy is built on the platform of Ford S-MAX and is characterized by a dynamic design and an extended list of equipment. The car has received modern safety and comfort systems. Different turbocharged gasoline units are available - 1.5-liter with an output of 159 hp, as well as 2.0-liter with an output of 238 hp. Although the most popular are diesel engines TDCI, with an output of 149 hp and 110 hp.
