Fiat Tipo: A Comprehensive Price Analysis of the Affordable Italian Compact
Fiat Tipo is a small compact car produced since 1988. It belongs to the C class.
First generation. The first-generation Fiat Tipo was produced from 1988 to 1995 (in some countries even until 1999). It featured a relatively spacious luggage compartment (1,100 liters with the rear seat folded down) and a cabin for five people. The model shared a common platform with Fiat Tempra and Lancia Dedra. In 1989, the Tipo was awarded the title of "European Car of the Year". In 1993, the Fiat Tipo underwent a major modernization, changing the front end appearance, interior trim and dashboard, as well as adding additional safety features such as a driver's airbag and seatbelt tensioners. The Fiat Tipo was very popular at first, but after disastrous crash test results, buyers lost interest in this model. Engine: gasoline or diesel. Transmission: manual, variator or automatic.
Second generation(c 2015). The model was first presented in sedan version at the 2015 Istanbul Motor Show under the name Fiat Egea, under which it is sold in the Turkish market. In 2016, hatchback and station wagon versions were launched for the European market. Developed by Centro Stile Fiat in Mirafiori, Turin. The Fiat Tipo replaced two C-segment models in the Fiat lineup, the Bravo and Linea. In 2016, Euro NCAP tested the Fiat Tipo for safety. In the base version, the Tipo received just three stars. Since the safety package available for this model is optional. Body type: 5-door hatchback (5-seat), 4-door sedan (5-seat), 5-door station wagon (5-seat). Engine: gasoline: 1.4-1.6 liters (70-88 kW), diesel: 1.3-1.6 liters (70-88 kW). Transmission: manual (robotized is possible).
