Fiat 500C: Unveiling the Price Range of Italy's Beloved Convertible City Car

The Fiat 500C is a small convertible designed at Centro Stile Fiat and produced at the Polish factory in Tychy. It is a model that has the classic design of the Fiat 500 as well as the innovation and convenience of the convertible version. The Fiat 500C has all the features of the original 500, but the car features a front end with a slightly wider windshield, which required an increase in the size of the upper crossmember.

The car definitely stands out at the rear and in particular the clear separation between: the canvas top and the steel body of the car. This is emphasized by the chrome plating.

The car also has a rounded rear window (glass, power, and heated) and retains the visibility area of the 500 hatchback.

Another important feature of the car is the trunk. It opens from bottom to top and the lid does not extend beyond the contour of the car. In a situation where the roof is fully folded, the electric drive raises it by a few centimeters so that the trunk can be opened fully. This is an extremely functional solution that is also stylistically sophisticated thanks to its features and integration into the vehicle.

The new Mild Hybrid gasoline engine is based on a 3-cylinder unit with a maximum output of 70 hp at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 92 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The unit has undergone numerous modifications to achieve a high compression ratio (12:1) and reduce friction losses.

The most important component of the Mild Hybrid system is the BSG (Belt Starter Generator) system. It is mounted directly on the engine and driven by the belt, which also drives the auxiliary mechanisms. The system allows energy to be recovered during braking and stored in an 11 Ah lithium battery. This battery is used to restart the engine in Stop&Start mode and assists it during acceleration.
