BMW X6: Navigating the Price Range of BMW's Bold Coupe-Styled SUV

The BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury crossover (J segment) that has been in production since 2007. BMW describes the model as a SAC (Sport Activity Vehicle), which emphasizes not only off-roading, but also the vehicle's sporty characteristics (a combination of SUV and coupe). The X6 has proven to be a market success for the German brand, with more than 250,000 units sold to date.

First generation (E71, E72) - 2007-2014. The first generation BMW X6 premiered at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. It used dynamic powertrains from the BMW X5, and power was transmitted to all wheels via the xDrive system. A sporty version of the X6M was also presented. The car became known as the most powerful hybrid in the world. The car was equipped with the following engines: 3.0 liter 306 hp (225 kW) l6 twin turbo, 4.4 liter 407 hp (299 kW) V8 Twin Turbo, 3.0 liter 235 hp (173 kW) l6 diesel, 3.0 liter 286 hp (210 kW) l6 diesel twin turbo, 4.4 liter 555 hp (410 kW) V8 twin turbo (M). Transmission 6-speed automatic transmission, 8-speed automatic transmission (ActiveHybrid).

Second generation (F16) - 2014-2019. Stylistically, the model continued the traditions of its predecessor. The body added a few centimeters in length, but the wheelbase remained unchanged, as the new generation used the same chassis as the predecessor. The hybrid version was discontinued. The latest generation X6 (G06) entered the market in 2019, and its distinctive feature was the elongated narrow headlights located on the massive rear of the car. Thanks to the new platform, the car's body is longer and the cabin is more spacious than in previous generations. Engine: 3.0 liter I6 (gasoline turbo), 3.0 liter I6 (turbodiesel), 4.4 liter V8 (gasoline turbo). Transmission: 8-speed automatic transmission.

Third generation (G06) - from 2019. The factory index is G06. The car is built on the CLAR modular platform. The premium crossover is equipped with the following engines: 3.0L B58 I6-T, 4.4L N63 V8-T, 4.4L S63 V8 twin-turbo 600 hp. 750 Nm (X6 M), 4.4 L S63 V8 twin turbo 625 hp. 750 Nm (X6 M Competition), 3.0 liter B57 I6-T (diesel). This vehicle has an all-wheel drive drivetrain - with a multi-plate clutch in the front axle drive and an optional rear differential with a controlled degree of locking.
