The BMW X2 is a mid-size crossover SUV (SUV) produced by the BMW Group since 2017, competing in the market with the Mercedes GLA and Range Rover Evoque.
First generation (F39)- 2017- 2022, built on the UKL2 platform with the MINI Countryman. It has no immediate predecessor and is closest to the X1 series, but differs from it with a bolder design and richer equipment. The only connection between the two models is a similar dashboard. X2, in accordance with the numbering used by BMW, received the code F39. It is a five-door crossover belonging to the C-segment. When the model went on sale in early 2018, a two-liter 141 kW (192 hp) gasoline engine with front-wheel drive and two two-liter diesel engines with all-wheel drive with 140 kW (190 hp) or 170 kW (231 hp) were available. Later, the manufacturer introduced another 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an output of 103 kW (140 hp) and a two-liter diesel engine with an output of 110 kW (150 hp). In January 2020, a plug-in hybrid variant of the BMW X2 called xDrive 25e was unveiled.
