BMW 7 Series: In-depth Price Analysis and Market Valuation for Premium Sedans

The BMW 7 Series is an executive sedan that has been in production since 1977. This series came to replace the BMW "New Six". To date, there are 7 generations of this car:

  • The first generation (E23) - 1977 to 1986. A car that is the epitome of sportiness, technical innovation and luxury of the highest level. The successor to the BMW E3 is powered by six-cylinder engines that in every version impress with unrivaled driving culture and performance, making it the sportiest sedan in the luxury class. The body design is based on the design of Paul Bracque. The sloping front and rear and the low window line emphasize the sporty character of these luxury limousines.
  • The second generation (E32) - 1986-1994. The car is equipped with ABS system as standard. The Park Distance Control system is offered as an option, as well as double-pane windows, which significantly reduce the noise level in the cabin and do not fog up. Since 1987, the luxury car is offered with a 5.0-liter V12 engine. The 220 kW (300 hp) unit is the first of its kind in the German automobile industry after 1945. The model is also available in an extremely comfortable extended version.
  • The third generation (E38)- 1994-2001. Since 1997, side airbags for the driver and the passenger next to him have been standard, followed a year later by head protection airbags. The body became wider and sportier, but at the same time more elegant. There was also the first BMW 7 Series with a diesel engine. Thanks to the CommonRail system, the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder unit produces 135 kW (184 hp). From 1996, the engine lineup is expanded with a 2.5-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 105 kW (143 hp). In 1999, the sedan sets a new standard by introducing a 180 kW (245 hp) diesel V8.
  • Fourth generation - 2001-2008. Two versions were produced, with different wheelbases: standard (E65) and elongated (E66). In 2005, a facelift of the car was carried out. The car received completely new headlights and a protruding trunk lid. Inside, the iDrive system offers the driver an unprecedented control concept that minimizes the number of switches and buttons. The six-speed automatic transmission with a lever on the steering wheel is a world novelty. The engine in the top version now generates 327 kW (445 hp), which the 12-cylinder power unit draws from a 6-liter displacement.
  • Fifth generation - 2008-2015. Similar to the last generation there are 2 wheelbases: standard (F01) and elongated (F02). The interior is characterized by high-quality, exclusive materials and a wide range of advanced driver assistance systems - from Adaptive Speed Control and Lane Keeping Assist to the BMW Head-Up Display. Diesel and petrol engines, including twin-turbocharged engines and the BMW 760i, whose V12 produces an impressive 400 kW (544 hp), deliver sporty performance. For the first time, a hybrid drive system is available for the BMW 7 Series. Typical BMW driving dynamics are enhanced by the optional all-wheel drive, Adaptive Drive side tilt stabilization system and Electronic Damper Control (EDC) for safe and precise driving.
  • Sixth generation - 2015-2022. The body has the following markingsG70 for standard wheelbase andG71 for the extended.
